Rarely do I post anything here. For the most I read these messages with amusement...and sometimes get a bit disturbed with the attitude of some folks when it comes to the topic of HOTs. Especially when it comes to the topic of venomoids. Now, I am not pro-venomoid...never will be...but...if ya'll want to be perfect in how we create, preserve, and promote our interest, research, hobby, business, everyone needs to get behind all who have a true love for herpetology. You get a group of people together with the same interest, and you will get some that disagree....that dosen't mean we can't fight for the same cause.
If you want to be a purest...then [bleep] at the many hybrid, morph, & commercial breeders. You want pure, go for local specific, no genetic mutations..period...if not...call yourself a hypocrite. The biggest problem with our industry is we are lame when it comes to coming together to lobby our Representatives when unjust laws are being proposed. Most people that post on here know what I'm talking about, (TOM).
I've had the opportunity to live with herps for almost all of my 52 years on this earth. I've met and lived with folks that are heros in our endeavour. In this time of economic peril and hopeful change, let's all focus on what is most important to our interest, love, hobby, & businesses. Join your local herp society, help out @ your local pet shelter, (Iguannas and dogs need love too), and just get involved. If you have the energy to [bleep]..you have the energy to help!
