Thermostat Recommendations?

shedyourfears Jan 18, 2009 01:09 PM

What thermostat do you guys recommend?

I have Vision cages with Flexwatt heat tape underneath each cage...

I have some cheap thermostats regulating temps right now...but i definately want to upgrade...

At the moment I have 3 of the model 400's (4ft)

I am getting another model 400 within the next 2 or 3 weeks and a 2footer next week sometime...

(I have 3 boas, a carpet python and a cornsnake)

What do you suggest?

Is there any model i can plug multiple heat pads into?
(i.e. the 3 boas)

Thanks!
Jessica

I just bought two of them. You can control up to 1600 watts per herpstat pro, as they have four individually controllable outputs that can handle 400 watts each. You can calibrate to 1/10th of a degree as well as program a night time drop.

Do a search for "herpstat pro spyder robotics" and you'll find them.

Thanks!

I'll look into those

I figured it would be better to spend a good chunk of change & get something that is worth it...

you get what you pay for

And bottom line it's actually very cost effective as you get four t-stats with night drop built in, all in one unit.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the herpstat II and the herpstat Pro....

other than cost of course

I am technologically retarded...

i'm horrible with hooking things up.

i have heard a lot of great stuff about this model...and i think i'm gonna go with the pro...

as with most things in the snake world...the initial investment is kinda overwhelming...but in the end it's worth it
