I still haven't decided for sure.

I have asked this before but I don't think we ever reached a conclusion.

How old are they?
Man he needs a tredmill hahahahah
Mike.
Ha seriously, I need to cut back on feeding I guess. He/she is Becoming a tank!
Bigger one is almost 3 years old, smaller one is prob around 2 years, not certain. I bought him as a yearling, last year.
As far as male female I do not know, Jobi may be the person to ask in this case. I do know that sav's can and do die from obesity so its best you get that in check with both of them lizards. Just like that danceswithsavs person on youtube the lizards were just ridiculously overweight, I felt so bad watching those videos hahahaha.
Anyway it is nice to see someone give two savs a chance and especialy in a large cage.
Goodluck with them,
Mike.
What do you think about the sex of these lads?
My opinion, not that its much of one, is that the one on the left definately has a head shaped like my female.
The one on the right almost has the head shaped like my male, but then not quite...
I hope someone else comes soon

ok ok i'm here...hehe, the only real way to know if it a male or a female is to check for "things" when it deficates. you will be able to tell because females do not have hemipenes. give them warm baths and if they "go". then you will be able to tell. And who ever it is that is so concerned with those dances with savs monitors they aren't fat honsetly they are rounded when they lay down, like any sav should be but they arent obese, these monitors here could do to loose a little weight but nothing excersize wont cure they look like they are happy in a big nice enclosure.
how to tell if an animal is obese.. check to see if the abdomen has give, if when the animal lays down it flattens out, thats what happens in those videos really the animal doent lie on its fat it lies down on its body when an animal is obese and it lies down there is no give it just lies on the roundness, like a baloon filled with air it has no place to settle its body into and looks all rolly polly then it needs to be fed less, a baby sav however is incerdable dificult to make obese because it needs so much to grow so most yearlings and younger have a more rounded appearance because they are always eating, now i mention this because i just watched one of those videos and didnt think the animals looked fat then read the post here and was like huh? so i watched a few again and they look pretty normal to me, and pretty happy and pretty well trained which with proper dedication is entirely possible. sorry i didnt mean to hijack thing thread, later.
