Hmmmm, change to the 2009 plan....

rainbowsrus Jan 19, 2009 12:35 PM

After thinking and thinking and talking it over with my wife and others, I have decided to press forward with the "Calico" project. Not give Fluffy the year off as I originally planned. sooooooo....

Going to swap him and Rusty so Trio #8 will be ....

Trio #8 Fluffy / Rose / Ann

Chose this trio as minimal impact to existing plans while still breeding Fluffy to two top shelf unrelated females. This will make four seperate offspring groups. Savannah and Daisey from 2008 along with Rose and Ann from 2009. None of which are related to the others in any way.

Then going to take a female from Trio #4 (leaving it as a pair) for Rusty so....

Pair #4 Tommy / Bullseye

Pair #13 Rusty / Clover

Actually works our very well with my caging as there will be 8 total trios in the oak breeders and 5 pairs in 3 boaphiles and two other melamine cages I have.

I am surprised that you had planned on taking a year break with your calico project - other than you will end up with a boat load of holdbacks.

Well, have to admit that was the original plan, not have a boat l,oad of holdbacks. But the more I thought of it the more it malkes sense to simply make room and deal with it!!!!

That male Calico is just awesome.
