Zoo Med Repti Bark?? Any Good?

RantCaseyIsGod Jan 19, 2009 06:34 PM

I'm experimenting with new substrates for my ball (& colombian boa) and picked up a bag of Zoo Med Repti Bark (from a local Petsmart; couldn't find any useful information from the clerk, go figure) and wondering if I should know anything before I go ahead and put it in their tanks.

Anyone have any pros/cons about this substrate?

just keep an eye on it because if it gets to moist it can cause belly rot.

I suppose belly rot will occur regardless of substrate if it's too moist. If minor scale rot occurs, will it go away as conditiosn improve or does it need to be medically treated regardless of it's severity?
