was wondering, i have no way to get a good measurement on the weight of my retic, and was wondering on average what his weight would be, its a male, 12 feet long and he is healthy, i.e. not skinny. he feels pretty heavy when i hold him, but im a horrible judge of weight, i may say it feels like 30 pounds but its really 70, heh, thanks for any input.

I have no idea how to estimate his weight, but I'd think it'd be pretty easy to figure out using a common bathroom scale. Weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding him. Subtract. Of course, if you don't have access to a bathroom scale, that wouldn't work, but I'd think you'd know *someone* who could lend you one for the few minutes it'd take to do this.

It's kind of ghetto, but if you have a decent bathroom scale--and the animal is larger than 10 or 15 pounds--weigh yourself without the critter, then holding t he critter I've used it for boas and stuff (back until I threw out my scale because I got too fat).
