Burmese Star will not eat,5 days now

terrygar Jan 20, 2009 01:21 PM

Hello I have a Burmese star that is CB 4 years now. We live in Florida and she has to be inside cause its cold here. She developed the sniffles so I took her in to a good vet, he checked to stool and she has various worms, so he gave me worming fluid and gave here a vit shot. She will not eat anything, although she is active and alert. We have tried to feed her tortoise masseri (excuse the spelling) with some of the worming agent in it, but no good, then we have offered her all the leafy greens and veggies natural and store bought, but she won't eat anything. We have soaked her in peddia lite at her rear for some type of uptake.

I have made another appointment for 2 days from now, I gues they would take a xray of some sort.
Help me with any tips, please. We love this guy.

If the tortoise does indead have a respiratory infection, maybe you can ask your vet if it would be wise to treat that accordingly first, as this is a more serious threat at the monent. Once that is cleared up then the worming procedure can occur. Hope it works out for him.
