Afternoon snacking

RedQuake Sep 09, 2003 11:04 PM

I've recently noticed that Boo is coming out of his hides between 1:00-1:30pm to have an afternoon snack. He'll usually leave 1 or 2 mealworms in his dish from the evening meal and come out the next afternoon to eat them. Is this odd?

Thanks

Not odd, especially not if he is a juvenile/subadult. You can get him to grow faster if you actually feed twice a day- usually they'll eat a couple more mealies that way- they can only fit so much in their tummy at once.

Thankyou For a while there i thought i wasn't feeding him enough.........however he gets 10 large mealworms per day. He is growing alot so feeding twice a day is a good idea
