Jamp eggs!

ChadRamsey Jan 21, 2009 02:14 PM

Pure 100% Jampea Retic eggs. 28 of them to be exact! And they came 10 days early!!!! She caught me WAY off gaurd so i didnt get any good shots of her sitting on them. Which i kick myself for and I had just gotten my incubator up and running the day before.

Nice clutch, congrats! They like to keep you on your toes don't they?

Maybe a silly question but why the water bottles at the bottom of the incubator.

Thanks
Sam

Congrats Chad! I have to admit, I am confused though... what do the sealed bottles of water do exactly?

Cheers,
Jordan

they absorb heat, and help maintain the heat in the bator, so that the thermostat and heat element dont have to work soo hard.

IN THEORY!!!

Thermal mass isn't just a theory, it works. Especially incubating just a few clutches. The more you incubate, the less you have a need for adding any more thermal mass, since your clutch containers will sub for water or whatever you use for thermal mass.
