Desert Ghost Ball...... maybe?
No, jokerfish is right. The "True Ghost" is the name for the visual double recessive Hypo/Ghost and Axanthic cross.

TSK produced it and called it ''The Ghost''
Since they call their lineage ''Hypo'', Its a double recessive Hypo and TSK Axanthic but people still refer to Hypos as Ghost, all other subspecies of snake mutation where the double recessive combo from Hypo and Axanthic or Anerythristic is called a Ghost, does not seem to be accepted in the ball python arena.
The mutation naming is a joke, people don't give a rats arse and call them what they want and confusion persist, not likely to change.
Its a god damn Hypo, nuff said
The issue of morph naming extends into many arenas. Maybe it's time to standardize BPs at least. It would certainly make learning the genetics easier for noobs like me.
I agree with madusa, It is a damn HYPO, however, what about the different colors??? You have citrus ghost, yellow ghost, orange ghost, and even green ghost. If you call them all hypos how would one know what line they came from? My guess is that nothing will change in this area it just takes some time to learn them all, and when you do, It won't be that big of a deal. Just my 2cents.
Well, we could always just say yellow hypo, green hypo, orange hypo etc. Not very confusing

i agree with the yellow hypo ect....i always found it interesting that ball python people called hypos ghost....ghosts have been around for years and they were always produced from double het hypo and anery or axantic..... this is stated in all the color and pattern mutations books, so i wonder why ball breeders never corrected this error in the beginning...i imagine because ghost sounded better than hypo....or it was easier to sell these animals to newbies that hadn't done their research...either way, now this mistake is being made more and more with other breeders....i heard someone call the new hypo anacondas ghosts and the guy with the hypo has axantics....i believe i heard a hypo burm called ghost...this is just gonna keep causing confussion to new herpers until some effort is made to keep things straight...breeders should do a little research before naming their new mutations, there are several books written by specialists....i've seen obvious white sided amimals called ivories...white sideds called pieds....alittle research could cure most of this.....
now the triple or quad combos don't count....name them whatever your heart desires....
agreed, I will NOW start calling them all HYPOS. Citrus HYPO, orange HYPO, green HYPO, and yellow HYPO.
