I meant to get this up Monday but, well I just didn't lol
The first show I actually stayed a long time. Normally I'm in and out. Winter months are better sales months up here, and although it was busy sales SUCKED. I said some years back there was a crash coming, but I had no idea how bad. I saw 3 female 08 bloodred (ya know my favorite) at $50ea and I would have offered 3 for $100 if I had the money. He got 6 3.3 in on a trade. Not great to me a lot of black but at 35-40 each normally I'd be calling my wife begging money lol I'm pretty confident I will see at least some next show.
I know times are tough for so many, and pets are not at the top of the need list for a family. But I think in a couple of years, god willing, the economy will start to bounce back. And when it does look out. There are so many people that want herps and have had to get rid of them. Add them to the new people come on board, I think there will be a boom again. I sure hope so. The shows are kind of boring with no sales. Importers don't get as much in, and a sure sign that things are slow is sellers won't even try to sell. They just keep talking to the seller next to him lol. Now thats BAD
I wish everyone well in these tough times. But like always, it could be worse, and it's going to get better.
