Ghireptiles Jan 22, 2009 07:24 PM

Just an updated shot of my ball I call The Avalanche. She is from either bumblebee x pastel or hidden gene woma triple combo x pastel.

wouldn't that be a more appropriate name for a white snake?

Ghireptiles Jan 23, 2009 06:29 AM

LOL...if you really think about it most of the names given to ball pythons aren't appropriate. I think white snake names are stuck with leucistic. There are snakes names after coffee drinks, power tools, weather patterns, deserts, and on and on...so name avalanche can't be all that bad. Besides...I'm not claiming it's a morph name but an individual snake name like Monty or something like that.

So you're saying if you wanted to name your snake Monty you'd name it The Monty??

Very cool snake... looks like a spider/clown/pastel/calico to me!

Is this the super form then? or is it a "het" Avalanche. I think Evan may be onto something. Looks like a wannabe spider.

Ghireptiles Jan 23, 2009 06:42 AM

It might be a wanna be spider but it's just the snakes name...

I saw some site called Snowballs Ball Pythons, that have also named a gene they believe to be dominant as The Avanlanche. Is this the same line? or something new? I dont think i can link it, so just google it. Surely there has to be some Ball Python registry kind of thing made up, as many names seem to be crossing over into each other, when they different things.
Cant imagine what it will be like in 10yrs, with 4, 5 and 6 gene mutations.
Nice looking snake you got there by the way

Hey Dave,

I'm not claiming this animal to be any new dominant morph...it's the snakes name. Not the same line...again just my snakes name.

I dunno, all I know is that snowballs are albino axanthics.

JenH Jan 23, 2009 07:54 AM

hehe - you are going to have to breed it to a normal just to figure out what it is...

Cool looking snake....

Albey Jan 23, 2009 08:46 AM

It looks great Matt. From the markings it looks like it got the Woma, from the white sides it looks like it got the spider, and it looks like the Woma hidden gene put the Double Eyed Whammy on it. LOL Cool snake!
