Expo/Show Tips

Tempo Jan 22, 2009 08:50 PM

Next month, hopefully, I'll be able to make it to NARBC in Arlington. This isn't my first time attending a reptile show, but it will be the first time I purchase something from a show. This will be my first ball python- or a pair of them- as well.

So, for those of you who have attended and purchased from many many shows and expos- do you have any tips?
What should ask, avoid, or look for in a snake(or vendor)?

I've heard many great things about NARBC, so I'm sure it will be a great experience!

When I was just starting out, I found that Dan and Colette's website had a page on expo show tips that was very helpful. TSK's website is

Just common sense. Do not talk yourself into ignoring that voice in your head that says "it's skinny", "it's pretty small for this time of year", "it is a good deal BUT". Just use your brain and you will do fine. There should be a bunch of great people there to buy from, big and small.
