hey, my bp shed about a week ago, however it did not all come off in one piece. My main concern is that one of her eye caps is still on. i just gave her a warm bath and it didnt come off. i even tried to see if my fingers got it off while she slide through them but that didnt work either. If you could please help me i would appreciate it. Thanks

Put him in a damp pillow case for an hour, skin will almost fall off!

Keep up the daily baths. Add a heavy rock or branch to the tub so he can rub off some skin on that. Provide lots of somewhat sharp-ended rocks and branches to the enclosure. Frequent misting. Stuff like that. Letting him crawl through your hands should work well, too.

All I can say about the eyecaps is keep trying. He may end up getting them off by himself. I have heard of people using Scotch tape to get it off, but I'm not sure how safe that is.

Another thing that gets my girl to bathe more on her own when she had a bad shed was to rinse out her water bowl and refill it with warm water every night before I went to bed. I'd take her from under her hide and put her in the water so she knew it was warm. All through the night I could hear her splashing around.

Hi,

I just removed two eye caps off yesterday. It is really easy. Soak your snake in warm water for about 10 minutes minimum. Rewarm the water as necessary. Get the snake to submerge their head as often as possible. You may need to coax the snake a little but do not force it under water. When you think the skin has been soaked over the eyes take a q tip and dip it in warm water. Take the q tip and gently but apply some pressure run the side of the q tip starting at the top of the eye and try pulling the skin away from the eye. Don't push on the eye but try to get the skin to pop away from the eye working downward. This has always worked for me and I have never harmed my snakes. Good luck and let me know if I can be of any further help.

Best regards,
Bill
