I am looking for a probably/ likely length of time between mating and laying a clutch for a Varanus mertensi? I thought perhaps about 3 weeks but looking for someone with more accurate knowledge to say for sure? I am not going to be around when she lays and wanting the carer to know when to start looking for a clutch or clutching behaviour.

Hi,
It takes 22 days according to Bernd Eidenmuller.
He bred them a lot. He has a website with info about them.
I personally have no experience with them.
