Strawberry Blonde Trans-Pecos project

This is seriously one of the most exciting designer projects we're working with.

The REALLY neat part is that this Red/Orange trait is NOT recessive. So, we bred an Orange male to a Mustard Blonde and got all Orange babies two years in a row, and this year -- ALL MALES! This means, when you breed these to other normals, you'll get more Oranges, but when bred to Blondes, you'll get Orange Blondes or alias 'Strawberry Blondes'...the first ever, I might add!

And because of the hypomelanistic function of the Blonde pattern, Strawberry Blondes should SCREAM! I have dreamed of seeing a REALLY Orange Blonde ever since I first started working with TPRSs. And I mean a melt-your-eyeballs-out-of-your-sockets orange. We're not far from making that a reality.
