Okay, the law is MASS says you can own a burmese python as a pet but cant own a Retic. Well my question is, is it legal to own a bateater(retic/burm cross)?? Again, the law says you cant own a retic, a bateater is not a retic.....

... depends on how the law is written. If it is just python retiulatus that is banned then your bateater is good. If it is PR or any hybrid of PR than your are not good. Alot depends on when the law was written. Most of the regs that have come out in the last 10 years include hybrids.
