nelsoni vs. sinaloae

viborero Jan 26, 2009 05:23 PM

I have seen a website that had the Nelson's and Sinaloan plates side by side, showing the differences in their neck banding and banding scale counts. Does anyone know which site I'm talking about, or can anyone refer me to a similar image?

Thanks much!!

Sounds like Vinny's site - Natural Selections Reptiles. It is in the breeder links

I think Vinny does have it posted on his page, Natural Selections. I think Dr. Pete Cragg was the first to put it on his website years ago...I think he called himself the Critter Connection or something like that.

Here is a real life display of the difference between the neck ring on sinaloae and nelsoni. Its easier to see from a sideview that the first ring doesn't circle the body on the nelsoni.
