Mixed Species Exhibit

tsusnakeguy Jan 26, 2009 06:49 PM

Ok before any attacks me for asking this just realize its for an exhibit not my home. I want to know if anyone thinks there would be a problem with housing Giant Madagascan Hognose snakes with Madagascan Tree Boas. If so I would like to know what the problems would be.
Thank you

It's all about stress... Except for Kingsnakes, in which case it's also about appetite. I would imagine it depends on the size of the enclosure. More room means less stress for each of the animals, and less stress means they are more likely to leave each other alone. The age of the animals also factors into it, as older animals used to being alone are going to be less adaptable than yearlings.
