Hi everyone,

I took in a Bearded Dragon from a work friend who couldn't keep him anymore due to his divorce, so i stepped in and I bought him home with me I have worked with a lot of reptiles in the past but i hadn't had one as a pet in years. When i first weighed him he was about 200g and about a year old, this was last September, now he is 400g a happy and funny Beardie! : ) ! I keep him on grease proof paper but when i first got him he was kept on sand which had not been changed in about a year!!! The dust which was kicking up was choking even me so imagen what the poor Beardie was like! So really this was just a hello to everyone, i am a keen reader on here but this is my ffirst post!!! Anyway enjoy the pic and take care!!!

I don't know if it's just me, but the picture didn't load in.

So what you're saying is that the bearded dragon wasn't in top shape before you got it? If so, congratulations on the keeping. A weight gain in a lizard is usually a good thing, right? You would think so for something that eats so much...
