a nicely patterned Sunglow. Why,was it sold as an Albino?

Beauty! If you got that snake for the price of a regular Albino that's a nice score.

Looks like a nice sunglow to me, what was she sold as?

Thanks for the replies!!!!! She was sold to me as an Albino 66%het snow. I knew when I saw it it was a Sunglow, and I am friends with the guy I got it from. He is very reputable and produces TONS of boas every year. So I see it labled as an albino, grab the container and say "Are you seriouse?? You screwed up the label to this snake man."
He replies:
"OH well, guess you got a good deal then, my guy must have marked it wrong when we packed last night. And it is from a moonglow litter, so it is possible het moonglow, not snow."

350 bucks!!!! My best deal of the year,LOL!!!! Thanks guys for your input, now, should I breed her to an anery het snow to make sure she's a sunglow, or a ghost het moonglow????

rainbowsrus Jan 27, 2009 01:44 PM

Score!!!

That would make her a Sunglow pos het Moonglow. And yeah, breeding her to an Anery het Snow or to a Ghost het moonglow would be a good choice.

Yup, I thought it was a great score!! I have both an Anery het snow, and a ghost het moonglow. Do you think I should go with the ghost or the anery. I guesse I'm still in the "what if it is a wierd albino" stage, so an anery would produce roughly 1/2 hypos and 1/2 normals if it is a Sunglow. A ghost breed to her would only produce roughly 1/4 normals, and if there were slugs, it would be hard to tell if she was a sunglow or not, right???
Not sure what to do, guess I got a few years to think it over anyhow......any opinions Dave??

Sunglow pos het Moonglow x Anery het Snow IMO would be the "best" proving pairing if you're not convinced on the Sunglow part. two possible outcomes assuming it is Hypo.....

Worst case 1/4 each...
Sunglow het Moonglow
Albino het Snow
TH Moonglow
DH Snow

Best case 1/8 each...
Moonglow
Sunglow
Ghost
TH Moonglow
Snow
Albino het Snow
Anery het Snow
DH Snow

Using the Ghost het Moonglow would increase your odds of hypo outcomes and also make some supers but depending ou=n outcome may not "prove" the Sunglow is a Sunglow.
