New Gecko

refgecko Sep 10, 2003 08:18 AM

I just recently bought a new gecko, my first gecko. I have visited many web pages about geckos and have learned a bit.
My question to anyone is I want to make an awesome cage. What can I put it in. I have plastic leaves, logs, rocks, a hammock.
I want to put in bark, but how long should I wait to get it. The gecko is still a juvenille...

Really, if it is a leopard gecko you should not use bark for the bedding. if it is a juvi, use paper towels or really fine sand. i know the paper towel looks like crap but it is better to be on the safe side than have a dead gecko. everything else if fine to put in but try not to put it in a big tank so soon. as far as making an awesome cage, do what you want, you don't have to spend a whole lot of money either.
