I'm looking for some ideas from your 'natural' looking enclosures. Meaning, not racks

Here are some pix of my cornsnake enclosures.

I've since removed the overhead heat elements and have relocated one of the log hides to the upper plexiglas shelf. I found that the overhead elements were providing way too much heat, even when coupled with a rheostat. I now heat only with a UTH, so essentially I have 6 different heat zones in one tank.

To encourage the snake to use the "high hide" I line the floor of the shelf with a disposable felt square. The holes in the shelves allow airflow, but the felt provides a visual barrier from below.

The shelves were cut to order at a local plastics house, and they are supported with 7 off the shelf plexi "cubes" that were glued in place. To aid in cleaning, the shelves simply sit on the cubes, but the Styrofoam backgrounds were cut as to hold the shelves in place.

To help simplify cleaning, I have also removed the artificial vines.

Nice setup you've got there. What wattage are your lamps?

15w compact flourecents, so the add no extra heat and provide very soft light.
I have albino snakes so I try to keep the lux to a minimum. They come out when the lights are on, so I think it is working out well.

I like your setup, I'm currently building a new 40gal tank. I have 3 of the 1/2 logs like yours, but I'm trying to harvest some natural logs that only have one opening. Only thing is, I've tried using different logs for my 9yr old, but he's partial to the big 1/2 log of his. Doesn't help he's a lazy fella.
