Looking for Unusual Snakes

JasonR Sep 10, 2003 09:30 AM

Greetings,

I've kept a pair of Javan Filesnakes (Acrochordus javanicus) successfully for some time now. I'm interested in keeping all three species of filesnakes, but Arafurans and Little filesnakes (A. arafurae, A. granulatus) are rather difficult to locate.

If anyone can offer me these species, preferably a pair, and of course preferably hatched in captivity, or suggest a reputable source for them, I'd appreciate it. I will of course consider any serious offer.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason, I had recieved 6 file snakes and sold 4 of them but I kept 2 back as they had either eaten something fairly good sized or are gravid. I have had them 2 weeks and they have yet to eat. As you said you have successfully kept a pair for some time, would you please enlighten me as to their proper husbandry. Thanks, Don
