Stripe vs Tiger

vinnybutch Jan 29, 2009 10:25 AM

Can anyone tell me the difference between a 'genetic stripe' retic and a tiger or super tiger retic? They look pretty much the same to me, but the genetic stripe seems to carry a higher price tag.

im not much of a retic expert, but if you look at the G-striped, it has one large line running down its back. it also has the dwarf gene so they stay generaly small. while on the other hand with the super tiger, it usualy has more stipes and is more of a tan color. the G-striped has more a normal color along with the usualy more of a darker yellow stripe. the tiger just has the accent on the normal retic, with a little different coloration and a few more lines and reduced normal pattern. hope this helped. Genetic stripe is a recessive gene

and Tiger is codom with supertiger being the super form of it.

Super Tigers appear with a more light yellow/brown and can have a fairly clean pattern with a solid white line on both sides of the snake it can also be a fairly broken up line though too.

Genetic Stripes appear with a gray/silver sides and some gold/orange medallions showing in the gray. Then there is white line running the length of the body above the gray sides breaking up near the end of the tail, they can also have a black line above the white or it can be down the center of the back and is usually trimmed with yellow/orange highlights with a brown/tan base color above the white or white/black stripes.
