Rat snake questions

bowhunter1963 Jan 29, 2009 03:07 PM

A guy at work is giving me a leucistic rat snake. My questions are -what temps do they like? What about humidity?I own some kings but this is my first rat.He said he has had it since August and it has not eaten for him at all.It just shed the other day.Any help would be great. Also he will be in a 55 gallon tank when I get it this weekend.Thanks.

For the most part, i keep ratsnakes and kings in identical set-ups.
It should eat regularly when it kicks in. Just do your normal thing and I predict all will be well.

Thanks. The guy that has it now has other snakes too so I dont know if his set-up was correct or not.He said he could not get it to eat no matter what he tried.Guess we'll see in a week or so if I can get it to eat.
