I was wondering what MBD is, what it stands for, how a bearded dragon can get this disease, and how to treat it.
I just read through a thread discussing MBD, but didn't find the answers of what it stands for or how to treat it.
Thanks!

MBD stands for Metabolic Bone Disease. This occurs when a dragon (and other reptiles as well) don't get sufficient UVB exposure or proper calcium supplementation or a combination of the two. Usually you can tell by looking at the joints and spine of the dragon because they sometimes will be crooked or deformed. Sometimes cases aren't as severe which in turn makes it a little harder to see for yourself. Joints will often be "rubbery" and be too flexible and from what I understand, you can't cure it 100% but you can treat it by providing proper UVB exposure and/or calcium supplementation (sometimes done by dusting more, calcium injections or giving liquid calcium orally) and in most cases dragons will bounce back from it pretty well.
