Waterland Tub Water Enclosure

Anselmo1 Jan 30, 2009 11:58 PM

I was just curious if anyone has ever used a Waterland Tub Water Enclosure for a Savannah Monitor or any medium size monitors?

If so is it ideal to keep a large Savannah in a 72x32x24 size tub, or any of these tubs?

Is there a water plug at the bottom of the deep end for drainage?

Any and all information on this product and its application with Medium size monitors would be greatly appreciated.

I want to mention I would love to buy a stainless steel horse trough but can not find one within driving distant around my area. I can get them shipped but the cheapest rate was nearly $300 per trough and that’s just for shipping.

My Savannah Monitor is about 3' in length and about 18 months old.

Thank you,

-----
Eric

there's some cheaper options. They have some really freaking huge ones too but those get up to 1,000 bucks including shipping (but I have to admit....9' diameter is a big cage!).

I have a raise up cage I made using a Waterland Tub. I had a medium 75% land tub. If you want a drain you have to add it, that's extra. The tub is good for holding the substrate just like a trough. Would be more expensive I would think, but I had a couple of these tubs lying around from an earlier project. Just built a topper basically for it. Using it for baby Argus monitors.
