shovelnose snakes/Chionactis

KritonKunz Sep 10, 2003 11:17 AM

Hello,
I am from Germany and I am keeping two Chionactis occipitalis. I guess you folks have more experience with these tiny creatures than we here in Europe. So I would appreciate a lot, if you could give me hints on their keeping and breeding!
Thank you very much in advance,
best regards,
Kriton

I'm surprised nobody responded.

I live in the Eastern U.S., and if I remember correctly, Chionactis is a western desert snake which "swims" through the snake and has special valves on its nose.

Are there peopl in Europe who breed these?? How about Diadophis? Any Diadophis breeders out there?

The one European Snake I'd like to get is the Aesculapine Snake, mainly because of its historical connections.
