Big Dragon....Little Dragon.....

Kalani Sep 10, 2003 12:08 PM

Hi Forum

Purchased two dragons when they were young. I have had them for a little over two months. Their set up includes a 30 gallon tank, reptisun 5.0, and a 100 watt light. I feed them twice a day crikets and veggies. Everything looks good. Problem, one dragon is about twice the size of the other one. The last time I checked the big dragon weighed 9 grams while the other was only five. Four grams more. The little dragon eats but not as much as the big dragon. Could the dominance of the bigger dragon make the dragon not grow? Will he ever get big? HE looks just about the same size as when I got him.

Thanks

Kalani

well I am new to beardies... but from my readings and experience...

yes one dragon may dominate over another... do you know the sex (possible sex) of them??

I know when my brother got his dragons... one grew faster than the other cuz the female never gave the male a chance to eat (can you believe that lol)

now they are about the same size... but the female is a lot fatter and round...

my suggestion would be (if you supplementing right) is to feed them seperatley so both get an equal amount of food... and one doesnt steal the other ones food.
