Story behind MorphKing Reptiles...

Scucci Sep 10, 2003 12:12 PM

Just wondering if anyone knows the story behind MorphKing... like how they got their snakes... and how they still haven't hatched anything yet?

I've heard some of how they got their snakes, and was just wondering if anyone else has heard the same things.

We have hatched a ton of stuff out. Like 2.4 Caramel Albinos, bunch of Mojaves, spiders, over 14 Albinos and a ton of hets of everything. Next year will be much bigger with alot of homozygous animals. We sold a ton of stuff and are just filling our orders. We all buy snakes to breed as we encourage our customers to do. As of right now we had a light year with 147 eggs in the incubator and plan on doubling production next year. Thanks for asking Wes will post some pictures tonight.

One thing you are wrong about is them not hatching anything yet. They have hatch out quite a few animals now in fact I personally know several people that have received animals from them recently. Just remember everyone starts out somewhere, they just invested a large sum of money when they started.

` I've done business with Wes Harris of MorphKing. He's a nice guy, and honest. I would do business with him again, without hesitation, if I had any damned money to spend!

ok i posted once already on this issue but told a little lie. i did buy an albino female from them. i talked to wes on the phone last night and made arrangements for shipping. i have had 100% acceptable service and i have already got ideas on what i am going to buy from them next year.normally i tell the truth but i was afraid i was going to hear a horror story and didnt know if i had been taken ,since i dont have the animal yet but feel confident now that she is on her way.thanks wes for the good service

Well, I'm sure they have hatchlings, as they have been actively advertising on KS classifieds for a couple months now. Last night Wes called to attempt to arrange delivery of the snakes I purchased from him ~ I was distracted and put him off but I plan to write him here shortly.

Looks to me like Morph King is doing just fine.

This little guy just came out of the egg you'll have to excuse the fuzzy picture I was swamped with all the babies today so I didn't have a chance to check this group of pics. Tomorrow it's off to buy more wood and sweater boxes we have babies everywhere
four more clutches left to hatch and we will be done for the year.

I just don't know how to get a good pic of these Hypoxanthic
Albinos but at least you guys will not think I'm crazy anymore
the flash brings out the yellow and washes out the purple.
this is the combination of two genes I call this hypo = reduced
xanthic = yellow gene but it is also an increasing xanthic gene
as these hatchlings get older the yellow becomes more lemon like and bleeds all over the pattern see next post for a look at the gene without the albino in with it.

No, it is genetic simple recessive but what it does is make a baby ball python look axanthic at birth but after a few months
they look normal, they will never be high gold the lemon yellow pigment is always dominant over the orange pigment
It is just interesting one more little piece of the ball python puzzle. As far as I know this is the first time this gene has been mixed with the Albino gene
I hope we are on the same page they look black and grey at birth then turn black and tan with yellow under tones.
Basically just normals

Congrats on the spider!!! Where do people get their information? How could anyone think that you didnt produce ANY babies this year??? I know you produced lots of cool stuff and i really enjoyed our conversations. In my professional opinion Wes is extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly.I`m buying a mojave from them and plan to purchase many other animals from them in the future.I highly endorse MORPH KING!
