My new Childrens Python

snakelover27 Feb 03, 2009 04:40 PM

Here's my new girl. She's a beauty, isn't she? Just about 4 feet long. I've wanted a Childrens Python for a long time.

Your snake actually looks like either a spotted or spotted/childrens cross. Childrens generally don't retain that much pattern and their pattern isn't that dark. The size makes me suspicious too. I've never heard of a pure Children's that long.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. It does have that reddish-brown of a Childrens, but the bold pattern and size are much more like a Spotted.

And I was thinking that as well. They are similar species. My guess is the prior owner was a bit confused.
