Your snake actually looks like either a spotted or spotted/childrens cross. Childrens generally don't retain that much pattern and their pattern isn't that dark. The size makes me suspicious too. I've never heard of a pure Children's that long.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. It does have that reddish-brown of a Childrens, but the bold pattern and size are much more like a Spotted.

And I was thinking that as well. They are similar species. My guess is the prior owner was a bit confused.
