>>I am in a legal battle with my local city. I have been breeding for a while. I have 56 totes of 3.1 when i can help it. Not a rookie. BUT the city wants me to register this as a true business. They have called all animal control it the state i swear. All are ok. BUT they are trying to find info on how to breed them from an outsider point of view. does anyone know where to look for the rodent breeder guide for dummies?
In the reptile comunity nothing is defined. Sure there are bounders set by the animals themselves but nothing set in stone.
Dave Collins of Rainbows R Us posted a how to on the breeding subject and while small it was consis and gave a valid view point on one breders style. That's probably about the closest you'll get to how to.
Like all animal breeding so long as they have their needs met they are good to go. Many cities and states have regulated certain aspects of animal breeders but most regualtions are narowed to dog breeders. I've personally seen animals per given sq footage of cage limits set on puppy breeders. I've also seen the same applied to the property. IE only so many animals per acre..etc.
Thanks to the freedom of information act any actual breeders info should be available, in regards to the allowances by the local government. You may not be able to get Rodent Pro to tell you how they breeder their animals but their license or permit if any is a matter of public record.
Good Luck
