Co-habitation?

evers310 Sep 10, 2003 01:01 PM

Will a (Female?) midland water snake and a (female?) king snake co-habitate? They are close to the same size, the king is a bit bigger [14"] than the midland [10"].

Also, What specific type if king is it? It is black with bright lime yellow/green markings.

Thanks!

That's an eastern kingsnake. Co-habitation would be a REALLY bad idea. Your eastern king will grow much larger than your watersnake and will almost definitely eat it the first time it gets hungry.

when i first got my kingsnakes i tried to cage all three in the same cage with in 2 minuts one of them grabed the tail of his cage mate and it was the same size as him so i think its a bad idea if you like you other snake at all.

Yeah man you would be better off leaving your snakes seperated from all others. There are some kingsnakes that really could give a rats ass about other snakes in the cage. Then there are others who will ear every snake that they can stretch their mouths around. To make a long story short, dont risk it.
