breeding question

just wanted to know for futher information this is just an examplee if i take a het pied clown ball python and a het pied ball what will i get, and where can i learn more information about breeding ball pythons

Breeding two animals that are het for different traits would produce offspring that are 50% het for each trait. In your example they would all be 50% het for both clown and pied. If you look on NERD's website as well as VPI's they have a pretty good article on basic genetics. Check them out. Todd

If you breed a het pied clown and a het pied together, you will get normals- double het for pied AND clown, and pieds het for clown. They are both reccessive. I am unsure if you will get any possible hets, I think they will all be 100% for both and pieds 100% het for clown. If I am wrong please someone tell us.

I worked it out and got:
12.5% normal
25% het pied
12.5% het clown
25% het clown het pied
12.5% pied
12.5% pied het clown

I am pretty sure that is right.

You have a visual Clown het pied to a Het pied :
No normals- some pieds and some 66%chance het pieds, all het for clown
