Saw the ovulation, but gravid?

pithons Feb 05, 2009 11:50 PM

my big female has ovulated and is huge. Started about 2 months ago, but the male lost interest. She has been looking think and lumpy ever since. How do I know the seed been planted and she is gravid. She ate 1 rat since mid Nov and she has lumps in her belly.

did she have a post ovulation shed yet? if not id wait for that..i thought i saw ovulation and all way early come to find out it was more pre ovulation swell..then i noticed her ovulate her right side and left side at different times then bam she started to blue in the eyes...about 12 days after that she shed and ever since has been on the heat side with temp gun readings of 88.1 to 88.9 degrees consistantly...

id wait till a shed then watch her to be sure...mine ectually slimmed down a bit after her shed and about 2 weeks later she started gettin thick quick and layed on her sides and what not...so give her a bit to shed and get a temp gun and see if she retains 86 to 88 degrees..if so u got a good shot....

now this is what i was told to see if mine was gravid...hope it helps

She just shed again today. Last shed was end of Nov. Looks like she been eating footballs since. Male was with her for 2 weeks before last shed. Not sure if deed was planted.

Maybe you should leave the male in, apparent intrest or not ,till she goes through a post ovulation shed cycle and pull the male after that, thats my plan this year anyways.
