We are putting together a West Indian Boas website (thanks to Ed) and this is exactly what we are looking for. Ryan is on the line for putting together an excel spreadsheet with all the requested info from collectors/breeders worldwide. Once he has that, we will put out a call to arms, so to speak, and ask for info on every animal out there. This will accomplish many things:
1) Establish a DB of who has what where (entirely voluntary-participation is not required),
2) A DB of photos of animals in collections and in situ (to aid in the identification of animals),
3) Establish contact information among collectors/breeders so information, etc. can be passed amongst us.
Still in development but look for it soon.

Hello.

Thanks for the compliments.

The Tropidophis babies where definetly a chalange. It is the tinyest snakes i have ever seen. Started with some forcefeeding. But learend that fish and geckos could trick them to feed on there own.

Jeff: Looking foreward to seeing a webpage dedicated to the west indian boas. If i can help in any way, pictures or other things then let me know.

Thanks

Peter

Tropidophis melanuras are one of my favorites and I used to breed a lot of them years ago. I had one female that was over 3' long so they can get quite large. Did you ever see the Red Phase T. melanuras. Once I imported in from the Czeck Republic about 40 babies that ranged from orange to a bright tomato red color. I kept and raised up about 3.6 of thses and sold the rest. They were unbelievable looking and until this day have never seen another one like those. I'm having all my slides put on disks and I'll post pics of them as soon as I receive them back. Just wondering since you are in Europe if you've had or seen any of that phase....

Hello Tom.

Looking foreward to seeing some of your tropidophis pictures.

I have never seen them in the coulors you mention.

They are not that common here in europe.

Peter
