How big are male bolivians supposed to get? I picked up my "male" bolivian about 5 years ago from the east bay vivarium and was told he was a male, but i've never seen a male bolivian his size before, and have never sexed him myself. He's exactly 9 feet long and eating XXXL rats from rodentpro every 2 to 3 weeks. I don't have a problem if he really is a she, I have no plans to breed him. Here is a pic of him in a 102 qt tub I use as a holding tub when I'm cleaning cages. Sorry for the bad resolution, it was taken with my iPhone under a ceiling fan light.

Wow! I couldn't tell you about the size thing, but it's definitely a large and impressive boa!

Just looking at the picture and based of what I see! I think you may have a girl on your hands instead of a boy! The tail tapers quickly past the vent and seems to be on the stubby side which would lead me to think it's a female! You might want someone to check for you. This is just speculation though, but I think it's worth your while to check. Impressive animal none the less!

Thanks,

Almost as much as you feed them, that snake looks well fed. Look at how small the head looks compared to the body.
