Scarring on Rhino's!

xxbigmike25 Feb 07, 2009 01:50 PM

I have had and kept cuban and rhino iguanas and successfully bred them both. But this year my rhinos have been getting white spots all over their bodies and I am not sure what is going on. I thought they were mites but I have been treating them and things have just been getting worse. The Rhinos are beginning to scar, but the weird thing is that, my cubans which I have had for much longer have not gotten any of these white spots or scars and they are in a large outdoor enclosure right next to my rhinos. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

yeah what is up with the white spots? Mine (hybrid cuban) has two, one one hind leg one on shoulder, both about the size of a pea, maybe a bit smaller. They showed up under the skin after a shed.

Well the spots on mine are mcuh smaller, they look like tiny little eggs smaller than poppy seeds all over the iguanas bodies
