How should i work this out???

DJW Sep 10, 2003 03:12 PM

6 x 12 room with a large window , i'm in Texas ,cal-king in a
29 gallon tank.........w undertank heat pad
day time temps are 80-82 early afternoon , about 5pm 88-90 -if it gets to hot i'll open the door to the room to cool it off...
at night the temp drops to low 70's to 70..... i'm worried about
the night time temps and super worried about winter............
DO i need a heatlamp?? if so what would be the proper way to set it up?
8inch,10inch,12inch--80watt,100watt,150watt- what type of bulb?
cage placment? etc. etc.
also i have 50 gallon i'm about to put ?something? in, the tanks
are next to each other, will they(the two tanks) effect the heat of eachother?
and hey, THANK you for the time you put into your response! i
aapreciate it!,
DJW

Sounds like you need a small a/c window unit with a thermostat. I keep mine here in Texas at room temp. around 72 to 75 and have underfloor heating pads warming 1/3 to 1/2 their enclosures. It gets 82 to 85 degrees on the warm side and room temp on the cool side.
Are you hibernating them for the winter or not? If not a space heater should warm the small room fine.

Hope this helps,
