Did I miss my chance this year??

I've had my male in with my female since November, only seperating them for feeding. I was planning on putting the male back with my female last Wednesday but I was too busy, and tonight while feeding again I noticed something in the male's water bowl. Yep, you guessed it, his "stuff" made it into his water and I have no idea if he got the job done with the female. When they were together I noticed some tail wrapping but never visually saw copulation. She has gotten a little bigger, but I'm not possitive if she went through her ovulation or not, if you can't tell I'm pretty new at this. Is it too late to put my male back with my female since he already made a deposit into his water?

If he's still interested, put him back in. That little bit he left in the water bowl isn't all he had. It was just a "small sample".

I would leave him in until you see a post ovulation shed. It won't hurt anything to leave him in.
