Another ovulation......

rainbowsrus Feb 11, 2009 04:26 AM

This is Ruby (Coral Albino) looking good. Has been bred for months by Nick Stone's Hypo Cyclone. Was begining to wonder if she'd ever ovulate. Most of my females are already done breeding and currently gestating at 87(ish) degrees. Not 100% sure it's Ovulation, could be pre-ov, will know for sure in a couple of weeks or so.

How's the BBH season going so far? My BCI breeding is rapidly winding down, only have five males still in with my females. Two of which I believe are done and will be pulled before too long. The other three are just recently introduced as the original male didn't appear to get the job done. Not sure what'll eventually happen but all three are actively courting so.....

FINALLY, I've got my fingers crossed on this one. Good to see my boy wasn't just down there relaxing eating rats and enjoying himself. Hope he did get some work done.

Lol, he's pretty much been working non stop, it was all her fault, being ignorant and illiterate, not being able to read the "guide to good boa sex" book.

I'm guessing it will be another couple of weeks and if all is good, time for him to go back home and poop in your cages

Shane Kinney Feb 11, 2009 02:23 PM

Congrats Dave- I hope she drops a nice litter for you! Good luck with all those expecting females.

rainbowsrus Feb 11, 2009 03:00 PM

Thanks Shane, looking like I'm going to have a huge bunch o' babies. Many, many visual, het and pos het varieties. Was bored at work and actually worked it.....

IF...
All my females take and...
Everything works out to statistical averages and...
All my my possible hets prove out.....

I'll have 32 different "buckets" of snakes. Some visually similar like Anery het Snow, Anery pos het Snow and Anery. Others with only one or two babies like Moonglow

Duh, don't expect it to all go perfectly (or even close for that matter) but when all is said and done this year, I'm hoping to have a lot of cool stuff!!!

This is sooo much fun!!!!
