Het Anery Marker?

mack1time Feb 12, 2009 06:17 PM

I know that some people believe there is a het albino marker in the eye of a neonate.

I was photographing my recent litter and noticed that 50% or so have varying degrees of white tongue tips. They were fathered by a motley 100% het anery. I am wondering if anyone else working with anery's has observed the same?

Or do all baby boas exhibit this trait at birth perhaps?

I would love to here from anyone with theories or ideas about
this.

Someone made a post about a certain yellowish hue a while back.

I had two litter of 50% het anrey in 2008. While I did/have not noticed this in the tounge, I have noticed a 'marker' that has yet to be proven but very much like the albino marker Jeff Ronne has put fourth. It is in the eyes.

Both litters are Pastel Salmons and pastel normals (50/50). About 50% of my litters have eyes that are more silver/lacking in color than the rest of the litter. It does not do any good to just have one animal as the basis for the marker in in comparison to the rest of the litter, and the younger the better when you compare them.

So, if you have read about Jeff's albino het marker theory ... the same rules apply to the anrey marker ... just different eye coloring. AND please understand at this point I have not proved this theory out. I hope to in two to three years... so take what I have said here with a grain of salt. At this point it is just that ... a THEORY
