adult female veiled?

thecid Sep 10, 2003 06:33 PM

I was just wondering what a regular adult female veiled chameleon looks like, and if anyone has any pics? Im curious because i want to see what my little girl will turn into.
Also, what the average life expectancy for a female veiled?
many thanks!

There are pics on the following sites. www.chameleonnews.com, www.chameleonjournals.com, and www.adcham.com. As for longevity it varies a lot. Nutrition, heredity, luck in general health, breeding history, etc. so it is hard to say. An old wives tail claims that you must breed them. Not true. But, as she becomes mature you should watch her diet...too much food will cause obesity, very large egg clutches and trouble laying them.
