retic and heat panel

rottenweiler9 Feb 13, 2009 08:31 AM

Hello,

My little guy keeps getting into trouble, there is a slight gap where the heat panel hits and the cage (it has the lip). I have the one side covered, however the far end of the cage. Can I put plumbers puddy or somthing else in that gap so, I do not come home again to a retic with burned skin and stuck. It happened to my one guy and I fixed that however this one has found another hole.

Thank you

Jeff,
If that's the Pro Products heat panel I'd call Bob Pound and talk to him about it. I believe his ph# is on his website. If you can't find it, contact me.

I finally got around to calling Mr. Pound the other day and we had a great conversation. He's a real pleasure to talk to & I'm looking forward to getting a Pro Panel soon.

The reason I say to ask him, or whoever you got the panel from, is because they'll know what's safe to use within that space without affecting the panel's operation or causing any other problems. Please let me know what you find out because I will be in the same position soon.

Catch ya later!

Thanks Mike, I called Jeff at Helix since that is what they are. He is a great guy. Anyways, he told me to use PVC sheet and box it out, and silicone it on the plastic part. So, I will end up doing that. Thanks for the advise.
