Going with the Ackie and Thank you

rottenweiler9 Feb 13, 2009 09:02 AM

I have to say thank you to everyone in this forum that has answered my questions, especially Robin and the PE website. I have gone all over the place wanting a water, a croc, white throat, argus and so on. You know the list. However after reading and having questions answered about the different monitors, everyone kept saying Ackie, like the one article I was reading said, I stay away from the smaller ones. However after reading more about them and seeing what I want in a monitor, it is the perfect. I do plan on moving to another house some day so building a huge monitor cage was not a smart thing. Croc monitor was just a dream and when I saw what they could do, I have to say WOW. Argus was the other choice but again, cage size. FR once wrote to someone that these animals roam miles a day, and that has stuck with me. Until I can build the huge cage, I will have to wait for my monster. But until then I will enjoy and learn from the little guys, now I must wait until they hatch.

Thanks again

Jeff

in a zoo. They're amazing to watch but OUCH I've seen bite photos! Not to mention the cage size.

I agree, Crocs are impressive, even the little guys. But, have they ever really seen a huge one in the wild. Didn't O'shay go looking for one.

I'd love to see one in the wild but I'm way to broke to travel that far...it'd be freaking awesome though.
