Trying to educate myself on morphs

awesomo6000 Feb 13, 2009 10:34 AM

So just to clarify a few things...

1st. Are the different albino strains genetically incompatible? From my understanding a snake that is Het for Sharp and Het for Kahl will not be albino. Is that correct?

2nd. The "recipes" for the different combo morphs out there (ghost, snow, sunglow, moonglow etc) are the same regardless of which strains of albino and hypo you're using, correct?

Thanks for the info, just trying to make sure I have things straight.

My way of not studying when I should be...
1.1 Red Bloods (Cartman and Bebe)
0.1 Boa Constrictor (Victoria)
0.1 Albino Burm (Butters)
0.0.1 Desert King (Miles)
1.1 Bearded Dragons (Stan and Wendy)

Paradigm which requires an animal to have the Sharp strain albino gene AND the Boa Woman Caramel gene. It is supposed that they are all a type of T positive albino that are compatible which would explain why it isn't compatable with the Kahl strain albino.

Hypo/Albino/Anery

Kahl strain Albino is called Moonglow.
Sharp strain Albino is called Snowglow.

All I might add to this is that as far as I now Type I Anery are used in all of these combo's with Colombian type Boas.
I'm not certain of any results with Type II Anery Boas in combination with these other traits.
With exception of the Central American Ghost Boas. I'm still not certain if those C.A. Ghosts are type II Anery or type I Anery.
I've always assumed they were type II Anery.
