Carpet Pictures Please

mbm95 Feb 13, 2009 01:10 PM

I am purchasing a carpet soon and I either want an Irian Jaya or a Jungle. I also like Centralians but are out of my price range. Could any of ya'll post some pictures of adult male Irian Jayas and Jungles so I can get a good judgement of size. I will appreciate your help.

Doesn't will have a huge photo gallery on his website with ADULT animals?

do you have any reptile shows or swaps out by you?

Coastal: Big beautiful snakes, Reminds me so much of my retic's there awesome, just a bit big with a big appetite.

Jungles: Medium but can be bigger, Still pretty docile for the most part, If you get one with amazing color's you can just stare at them for days

Bredli: awesome medium sized morelia, real hardy, pretty easy carpet to keep in my opinion, hot and dry and they thrive.

IJ: Smallest of the morelia, there nice but I like my jungles and coastals more

I've pretty much given you as much information as anyone else can, as far as pictures go, look them up on google perhaps.

It really all depends what YOU as the owner wants in a snake and what you want out of the snake. It doesn't really matter what the snake is, as long as you like it, and it makes you happy, sounds like a good pet to me.

Id strongly suggest that YOU think about what kind of snake you really want.

Not trying to be abrasive or offensive, It just honestly doesn't matter what anyone but you thinks of your animal and if your that worried about size, regulate feedings more.

Happy Herping and I hope you get the herp you want.

Here are my coastal adults, females about 9.5 ft, probably about 25 lbs, males about 8 ft and about 15 lbs

This is Safari. He is @ 7-8 years old. 7+ foot long now. this photo is a couple years old. He has a wonderful temperment when it come to being handled. very docile. right now though he is on a hunger strike and doesn't want to eat.

There aren't any shows coming up soon. I went to Repticon Atlanta but all they had was a small Coastal and Jungle. Neither were full grown, only around four feet. Thanks for the pictures. It would also help if anybody has pictures of their snakes next to humans or some other object to help judge size. Coastals are too big for me right now. I don't really even have enough space for a cage for them. I like Jungles alot. The problem with this is good ones tend to be very pricy. Again, thanks for your pictures!

Oh, and about Will's website, the pictures don't really have anything to judge by except for one massive jungle which is like 8 1/2 to 9 feet. If thats just a crappy estimate please tell me. And by the way, those are some pretty snakes.

I house my adult carpets in a 4x4x2T.

Works for me. The Ijs are smaller my buddies got a huge collection of them and is biggest female is a monster at 8 ft.

there is no rule to how big or small they will be i have an 02 coastal female just approaching 6 ft, she eats constantly just never really put on the size her partners did.
