OK everyone, I know some of you have often advised to use temp guns. I just got one and I have to say it's really really great. I found my actual temps were a little less than what I was measuring even though I was using a temperature probe from my lab, which should be pretty good.
So, I upped the wattage a bit and my lizards already seem much happier.
Added bonus: My boy Kermit loves to chase the laser light! He runs after it and tries to catch it. I never imagined a collared lizard playing with a toy like a kitten! Today, I'm bringing home a laser pointer from my office. Maybe I should try and get that on video. I'm not very good with cameras though.
