Hypo Pueblan ?

medusah Feb 14, 2009 11:58 AM

Anybody able to trace back the origin of Hypo Pueblans?

Someone told me they are possibly hybrids, I sure hope not!

I know bayou reptiles popped them some out, Doug Beard also had some pop out in his collection. I don't remember who else had some or if Doug ended up getting his project going.

They are not hybrids or hypos for that matter. I believe they are T albinos but hypo is I guess more hip to use so that is what they are labeled.

I agree these are T+ albinos and not hypos. I used to work with these and the hatchlings produced from a T+ to het breeding that were "hypo" had red eyes, varying degrees from dark ruby red to red.

I also believe the ones I was working with were pure campbelli. I talked with Rob Stevens at Bayou which is where I got the T+ and he said that the pair that produced his line of peublans were very average normal looking peublans and the hypo that popped out was a total surprise.

You know some people might tell me I'm crazy BUT I will have to say the extreme hondos are also a T along with the hypo temporalis.

Couldn't agree with you more. I think most people are coming around on that one now.
